Fargo-Moorhead 3, Sussex County 2 (10 innings)
A pitchers' duel resulted gave way to extra inning offense as the RedHawks got past the Miners on Thursday morning in Sussex County. LF Chad Mozingo drew a walk to lead off the inning and scored on a double by DH Joe Staley. Later in the inning, two more bases loaded walks extended the Fargo lead to 3-0.
LF Johnny Bladel drew a walk to begin the bottom of the 10th, and scored on an RBI double from 3B Sergio Miranda. Miranda would come in to score on an RBI groundout by CF Reggie Abercrombie. A groundout would end the game, though, and give Fargo the win.
Sussex County RHP Shawn Sanford allowed just two hits over 8.1 innings in his start, striking out five. Fargo-Moorhead RHP Tyler Herron was equally dominant, allowing just one hit in 7.2 innings with six strikeouts in his start. The win went to RHP Tyler Thompson out of the bullpen, who worked a scoreless 1.1 innings. Even in giving up two runs, RHP Mike Nesseth earned the save.
