AMARILLO, TX - It was a big four points collected by the Amarillo Bulls over the weekend. Goaltenders Collin Delia and Paul Berrafato were terrific in 4-0 and 4-3 victories. It was the Bulls sixth and seventh triumphs over the weekend, and it moved them into a tie for second place in the South Division with the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees. The Bulls trail the Wichita Falls Wildcats by just three points for first place.

This weekend the Bulls close out a homestand with the first visit by the Corpus Christi IceRays to the Budweiser Bull Pen in the Amarillo Civic Center. The face-off for both is 7 pm.

RADIO SHOW TONIGHT: Find out the latest on the defending national champion Amarillo Bulls on the Radio Show. Join host Denis J. Puska and Bulls Head Coach Dennis Williams for insight. FRIDAY, OCT. 18, SATURDAY, OCT. 19 VS. CORPUS CHRISTI ICERAYS: It's Face-Off Against Cancer Weekend. Purchase two Silver Level tickets for just $18 (that's one for each night) or two Red Level Tickets (one for each game) for $24. On Saturday, it's Pink In The Rink Night benefiting the Susan G. Komen Foundation. The Bulls will wear their specialty jerseys and a live auction follows immediately after the game with proceeds to benefit the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

BULLS IN THE COMMUNITY: It was a busy week for the Amarillo Bulls in the community. Last Tuesday, the team participated in the United Way Student Rally by handing out drinks and food prior to their big event in the Grand Plaza at the Amarillo Civic Center. On Friday, Bulls' players took part in the Bivins Elementary School Ace Scholarship Program luncheon, and then the following day it was a visit to the Elks Lodge and the Chili Cook-off.

UPCOMING PROMOTIONS:

REFUELING THE RIVALRY VS TOPEKA: On Friday, Nov. 1 and Saturday, Nov. 2, the Amarillo Bulls host the Topeka RoadRunners for the second time this season. On Friday, fans are encouraged to come out and support the United Way and the first 500 fans receive a Magnet Schedule, while Saturday there will be $1 hotdogs.

WEEKEND REWIND:

AMARILLO BULLS 4 - TOPEKA ROADRUNNERS 0: Collin Delia stopped all 24 shots he faced as the Amarillo Bulls blanked Topeka. Cody Gylling, Kyle Gattelaro, Matt Sieckhaus and Ryan Stevens tallied for the Bulls in the first 40 minutes of the game.

AMARILLO BULLS 4 - TOPEKA ROADRUNNERS 3: Paul Berrafato came up with some outstanding saves to preserve a triumph by the Bulls over the RoadRunners. Carter Penzien, Cody Gylling, Tyler Gernhofer and Matt Sieckhaus collected goals for the Bulls in the contest. The Bulls snapped a 2-2 tie with two in the third and after Topeka pulled to within one in the last 68 seconds, the defense and Berrafato did the rest.

STATS OF THE WEEKEND: Goaltender Collin Delia extended his shutout string to more than 150 minutes without allowing a goal. The tandem of Delia and Berrafato have allowed just eight goals to South Division opponents and posted three shutouts.

The Bulls penalty killing has been on form in recent games and have allowed just one power play goal in their last 31 times shorthanded, including the current stretch of 30 in a row. The last time that the Bulls allowed a power play marker was on opening night versus Odessa.
