THE TEAMS: Shreveport Mudbugs @ Amarillo Bulls

WHEN: Tomorrow (Friday) night and Saturday at 7 pm

WHERE: Budweiser Bull Pen in the Amarillo Civic Center.

PROMOTIONS: Friday - Country and Western Night with $2 off tickets if fans show up in a cowboy hat and western wear. It's also the Family-Four-Pack (four tickets, four hotdogs and four sodas) for $54 and Bring-A-Bud Pack for $27 (Two tickets, two hotdogs and two sodas. Saturday - Military Appreciation Night Presented By Sitel with free tickets for Military, while family members receive a discounted rate of $8. The evening including the enlistment ceremony and much more.

THE SERIES: It's the fifth and sixth meetings of the season between the Amarillo Bulls and the Shreveport Mudbugs. The Bulls have posted a victory and a shootout loss in the previous four meetings. After this weekend, the two teams won't see one another until Friday, Nov. 30 and Saturday, Dec. 1 at George's Pond Hirsch Coliseum.

STATS, ETC: The Amarillo Bulls begin the month of November still alone in first place in the North American Hockey League's South Division. The Bulls have a two-point lead over the Topeka Pilots and a four-point advantage on the Shreveport Mudbugs. Seven of the Bulls nine wins this season have come when scoring the game's first goal. Only the Johnstown Tomahawks (19), have more power play goals scored that Rocky Russo's bunch at 18. Last Saturday's win over the Lone Star Brahmas was the first time all season the Bulls have been outshot by an opponent and won the game (1-0-0-0).

ACROSS THE SOUTH: There is only one other game in the South Division this weekend and that takes place at Kansas Expo Center Landon Arena where the Topeka Pilots entertain the Lone Star Brahmas. The Odessa Jackalopes and the Corpus Christi IceRays both have the weekend off.

ROAD TRIPPING: After this weekend, the Amarillo Bulls depart on their longest road stretch of the year and the longest sequence in quite some time without a home game, 34 days, due to events at the Budweiser Bull Pen in the Amarillo Civic Center. During that stretch the Bulls will visit the Corpus Christi IceRays for three games at American Bank Center, the Odessa Jackalopes for two at Ector County Coliseum and the Shreveport Mudbugs for two at George's Pond Hirsch Coliseum. On Friday Nov. 16 and Saturday, Nov. 17, the Bulls will have their first of two weekends off.
