Amarillo Bulls News Release

AMARILLO, TX - It was a big weekend for two Amarillo Bulls Alumni. One player notched his first NCAA goal, while another hadn't scored in two seasons.

Omar Mullen scored his first NCAA goal with help from Gage Christenson and later in the game added a second but it wasn't enough as Milwaukee School of Engineering dropped a 5-4 decision to Adrian. Mullen also scored on the second night in MSOE lost 5-3 to Adrian. Christenson had a three point weekend with two assists on Friday and another on Saturday.

At Neumann, Dan McDougall and Mike Davis hadn't met one another until this past summer. The two former Bulls met formally on the ice setting up a Neumann goal in 6-3 loss to Hobart. McDougall scored the goal with help from Davis.

At the Division I level, defenseman Karl Beckman was injured for most of last season, but since returning to the line-up, he has giving Holy Cross a huge spark of leadership. Beckman scored his first goal since his freshman season as the Crusaders beat RIT 2-1. Beckman's goal proved to be the game winner via the power play in the third period.

On ice this weekend unbeaten Robert Morris University (John Rey, Greg Gibson, Brady Ferguson, Tim Moore) entertains Air Force, while Army (Joe Kozlak, Luke Jenkins, Garrett Peterson, Clint Carlisle, Brendan McGuire, Kyle Plageman) hosts Holy Cross (Karl Beckman, Paul Berrafato). Canisius College (Cody Freman, Geoff Fortman) hosts RIT and Bentley (Tyler Deresky, Matt Sieckhaus) take on Mercyhurst.

Merrimack College (John Gustafsson, Hampus Gustafsson, Collin Delia) has a big game hosting Notre Dame. Princeton (Joe Grabowski) visits Rensselaer.

In Division III, Milwaukee School of Engineering (Dan Sherrer Gage Christienson, Omar Mullen), Utica (Brett Szajner), Neumann ( Dan McDougall, Mike Davis) all see action.

Saturday is Military Appreciation Night with all active Military and Veterans receiving a free ticket. Military families can get the ticket special of two tickets for just $10. The first 500 fans receive a free camo hat.

It's the fifth annual Sonic Sunday at 6 pm. Free tickets will be handed out to fans in line starting at 4 pm at the Civic Center Box Office.
