Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp News Release
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Miami Marlins announced a transaction that impacts their Double-A affiliate Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp roster prior to tonight's game against the Montgomery Biscuits at the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville at 7:05 p.m.
Infielder Eddy Alvarez has been reinstated from Jacksonville's injured list and transferred to High-A Jupiter. Alvarez played in one game for the Jumbo Shrimp on April 5 before he was placed on the injured list on April 6. Alvarez is 1-for-3 at the plate for Jacksonville this season.
The Jumbo Shrimp roster stands at 24 active players, and a revised roster is attached.
Jacksonville hosts Montgomery in Monday's 7:05 p.m. contest. RHP Robert Dugger (6-5, 3.02 ERA) makes the start for the Jumbo Shrimp against Biscuits RHP Paul Campbell (0-0, 0.00 ERA). Coverage begins at 6:50 p.m. on MiLB.tv, Sunny 102.3 FM, TuneIn and jaxshrimp.com.
