Madison Capitols News Release

This week's alumni update focuses on former Capitols forward Vincent De Mey. De Mey skated with the Caps during parts of two seasons from 2016-2017. After finishing his junior career with Muskegon, he made his way to Northern Michigan where he just completed his fifth year.

De Mey stepped onto the campus of Northern Michigan in the fall of 2018. Right away, he found himself in the lineup and stayed there for almost the entire season. Playing in 29 games during his freshman season, he registered five goals and six total points. He really broke out during his sophomore season in 19-20 when he found himself on the score sheet 28 times in 38 games. In his NCAA career, De Mey has played in 161 games scoring 40 goals.

The Wildcats and De Mey will compete in the CCHA championship game on Saturday night for a chance to secure an automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament. In that game, they will face off against Minnesota State, whose captain is Cade Borchardt, another Caps alum and former teammate of De Mey.
