Montreal Alouettes News Release
Montreal - The Montreal Alouettes will play in the 110th Grey Cup on Sunday, November 19 at 6 p.m. ET (RDS, TSN, 98.5fm, TSN 690) against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
The Alouettes got to the final game by defeating the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the Eastern Semi-final 27-12 and the Toronto Argonauts 38-17 in the Eastern Final.
This will be the first time the Alouettes and Bombers will face off in a Grey Cup game. For Jason Maas' team, it will be a 19th appearance in Grey Cup. The team has a 7-11 record in the big game.
The Alouettes lost both games to the Bombers in 2023.
The Alouettes (11-7-0) have won their last seven games (five to end the regular season, the Eastern Semi-Final against Hamilton and the Eastern Final against Toronto).
Game notes
Offensive lineman Sean Jamieson will be in the lineup after seeing action in the Eastern semi-final against Hamilton. He did a good job. Defensive tackle Vincent Desjardins will be in uniform. Added to the roster in the end of the season, the Quebecer played seven games this year.
Marc-Antoine Dequoy, Darnell Sankey, Kabion Ento and Reggie Stubblefield all registered an interception in the last game. The Alouettes defence will still be on guard to destabilize Winnipeg. Special teams did well a week ago with ten tackles.
With a victory, the Alouettes would claim an eighth title in their history (1949, 1970, 1974, 1977, 2002, 2009, 2010).
