Anderson, IN. "This is our second game with the Rockers. They're good and are going to win a lot of games," said Reggie Jones, one of the co-owners of the Indiana Alley Cats ABA professional basketball team following his team's 136-123 win over the Cleveland team.
Cleveland grabbed a ton of offensive rebounds and led throughout the first half before Indiana came back to grab a 62-57 halftime lead in a fast-paced high scoring game. Leston Jones was the catalyst to spark the Alley Cats first half run. Chandler Thompson led all scorers with 36 points and 11 rebounds while Jones had 24, Shaun Fountain 17 and Carl Edwards 14. Guard Jamaal Harris led the Rockers with 30 points, followed by center Steve Booie with 22 and guard Damon Stringer with 18. The Rockers fall to 1-2 with both losses coming in good games with the Alley Cats in Anderson.
"We can't wait to get them on our home court," said Pierre Hall, co-owner of the Rockers. "They're a good team, but we match up well and think we can get these W's at home."
