ABA salutes U.S. House of Representatives

Published on November 19, 2005 under American Basketball Association (ABA) News Release

Indianapolis, IN. The American Basketball Association (ABA) salutes the U.S. House of Representatives for its overwhelming 403-3 vote to reject a nonbinding resolution calling for an immediate troop withdrawal from Iraq. Turning Iraq over to the terrorists, fanatics and insurgents who send suicide bombers into funerals, schools, churches, restaurants, theatres, hotels and hospitals killing thousands of innocent men, women and children would have sent a message that would have emboldened these terrible people and hurt and demoralized our troops. This is not a war of politics or words or opinions. This is a war against an enemy sworn on disrupting and controlling the world through terrorism. Surrendering and walking away now will only create greater problems in the future worldwide including in our country. Thanks to the House for recognizing this and squelching the rising lack of support for the millions of Iraqi people and our troops.

ABA Salute is a program that pays tribute to our military through a scholarship fund from the sale of Salute merchandise. Click the Salute icon, support our troops and their families. For more information, email jennifer@abasalute.com or visit www.abasalute.com or www.abalive.com.
