Alley Cats to hold youth basketball clinics

Anderson, IN. The ABA Indiana Alley Cats professional basketball team had a great time last month with the student/athletes of the Upward Basketball League. Members of the team and staff were there to meet and work with the children on their basketball skills. Coach Carlos Knox is proud to announce the first of many youth basketball clinics in Anderson.

The next Alley Cats Youth Basketball Clinics will be held at the Historic Wigwam Gymnasium, 1229 Lincoln Street, Anderson Indiana on Saturday, May 6th and May 13th from 10am-3pm.

The AM Clinic will start at 10am and end at 12noon. The Clinic will be directed Carlos Knox, the new head coach of the Alley Cats. The PM clinic will be from 1pm-3pm and will be directed by Rob Blackwell, owner of the Indiana Alley Cats. Blackwell is a native of Farrell, PA where he starred in basketball and was recruited by Mercyhurst College in Eric, PA where he was a four year starter. After a successful collegiate and pro career, he returned to his alma mater as Asst. Head Coach and helped lead Farrell High School to an AAAA Interscholastic League Championship. Rob and his wife Stephanie own Blackwell Fitness and train professional athletes including Indianapolis Colts and Indiana Pacer players.
