Allen, Texas - The Allen Americans play two against the Wichita Thunder, and two against the St Charles this week as the Americans battle for one of the top four spots in the CHL Standings. Allen is currently in 4th place, three points behind third place Rapid City

Overall record: 34-20-5, - 4th place in the CHL.

Friday, March 14th @ Rapid City, 4-2 Win
Rapid City, South Dakota - Johnathan Lessard scored what turned out to be the eventual game winner late in the third as the Americans defeated the Rapid City Rush 4-2 on Friday night. Bruce Graham's empty netter late in the third period sealed the deal.
Saturday, March 15th @ Rapid City, 7-5 Win
Rapid City, South Dakota - Spencer Asuchak had a five point night with two goals and 3 assists as the Allen Americans defeated the Rapid City Rush 4-2 at Rushmore Civic Center. Allen scored four times on the power play in the win.
Sunday, March 16th @ Denver, 4-3 SO Loss
Denver, Colorado - The Americans tied the game late in the third as Greger Hanson scored with less than 30 seconds left on the clock to even the game at 3. Denver won the game in a shootout as Allen picked up five of six points on the weekend.

Matchup -The Allen Americans will face two teams out of the playoff picture this weekend with games against the Wichita Thunder and St Charles Chill. Wichita is three points behind Arizona for the final playoff spot.
Hot Streak - Spencer Asuchak is coming off a big weekend that saw him tie a season high five points in one game in Saturday night's 7-5 win over Rapid City. (Alex Lavoie 5 points vs.Tulsa 11/23/13). He followed that up with a goal and an assist on Sunday in the Americans 4-3 shootout loss to Denver.
