Albany FireWolves Ink One of Three First Round Draft Picks

The Albany FireWolves of the National Lacrosse League (NLL), today announce that the team has signed Nicholas Volkov, pending league approval.

Volkov was one of Albany's three first round selections in the 2023 NLL Entry Draft and was drafted 14th overall. The defender recently competed in the Minto Cup with the Burlington Blaze where he appeared in five games. He spent the 2023 season with the Blaze, tallying up 11 total points in 28 games played. The year prior, the lefty spent time with the Burlington Chiefs, where he played in 24 total games between the regular season and playoffs and added nine points.
