ALBANY, NY - The Albany FireWolves of the National Lacrosse League (NLL) today announced the introduction of established sports industry professional Chris Porreca to the organization. Porreca joins the team ahead of its second season as the Vice President of Corporate Partnership Sales and Business Operations and will oversee all aspects of the FireWolves' sponsorship sales. Alongside team President George Manias, Porreca will also assist in the oversight of all front office business operations.

Prior to joining the FireWolves, Porreca held positions as Director of Development and Alumni Relations at Green Mountain College, Director of Development & Competition with Special Olympics, and Director of Corporate Partnerships for the Adirondack Phantoms of the American Hockey League. Most recently, Porreca took over as the Executive Vice President of the Phantoms when the team moved from Glens Falls, New York to Allentown, Pennsylvania over eight seasons ago. In that role, he was responsible for all aspects of the team's business operations, including tickets sales, corporate partnerships, and game day operations, with a particular emphasis on the team's marketing efforts.

"I am extremely excited to join the organization and am grateful for the opportunity to work with this ownership group, George, and the entire Albany FireWolves front office to help take them to the next level after their incredibly successful launch year," said Porreca. "Lacrosse in the Capital Region is on the rise and the National Lacrosse League showcases that the top talent and has such a passionate fan base. I cannot wait to be a part of it all. Let's go FireWolves!"

"I am fired up to have a guy like Chris join our organization and help us with our goal to make the FireWolves the area's best entertainment option in our market," said Manias. "Chris and I have worked together in the past and I know exactly what he will bring to the table. You will not find a more professional, passionate, and loyal person than Chris and I cannot wait to get him started. The first focus for Chris will be to engage with the business community and work with local and regional partners to help reach our sponsorship goals, which in turn will help us sustain our business for the long haul. In addition, Chris will be my right hand and help me with all facets of the business operations so we can cover more ground and take our business upward, as we enter our second season and beyond. We are lucky to have Chris join our team."
