Alaska Wild KR/DB Demarcus James named IFL Special Teams Player of the Week
April 23, 2009 - Indoor Football League (IFL)
Alaska Wild News Release
The choice for this week's Special Teams Award winner was a no-brainer. James was virtually the entire offense for Alaska in a road loss to the Maryland Maniacs. The DB/KR had five kickoff returns for 156 yards and two touchdowns. That's an average of 31 yards per return, on only a 50 yard field. James elusiveness on his returns opened the eyes of many coaches who will now have to game plan against the Wild Special Teams Unit.
