Alabama Slammers News Release
The Alabama Slammers defeated the Miami Manatees by a score of 9-1 Friday night at the Pelham Civic Complex. With the win, the Slammers clinched the second seed in the WHA2 regular season standings and home ice advantage in the opening round of the WHA2 Playoffs. The opening round of the WHA2 playoffs will be a best of 3 series beginning the second week of April.
Alabama plays Miami again Saturday night at the Pelham Civic Complex before heading to Jacksonville Sunday for their final game of the regular season. Saturday's game will be Fan Appreciation Night sponsored by US LEC. The first 100 fans will receive a FREE fold-up chair courtesy of US LEC. There will be live music performance by the band Wishful Thinking before the game from 5-7 p.m. and lots of great prizes given away throughout the night.
