Aimé Mabika Named to MLS Team of the Week

Inter Miami CF defender Aimé Mabika has been named to the starting XI of the MLS Team of the Week for week 7 of the 2022 regular season, following his outstanding performance in the team's 1-0 win over the 2022 Concacaf Champions League finalists Seattle Sounders on Saturday, April 16.
The Inter Miami CF II product and Zambian international started and played the entire 90 minutes, helping man a stalwart defense that maintained a clean sheet against a surging Seattle offense. Mabika maintained a stellar 85.4% passing accuracy while making two key interceptions and eight clearances in the defensive third, playing a key role in organizing the Inter Miami defense to prevent any of Seattle's 20 shots from threatening the lead.
Mabika's inclusion is his first appearance in an MLS Team of the Week. He joins Damion Lowe and Leonardo Campana as the third Inter Miami player to receive the honor this season. Mabika's inclusion also marks the second consecutive week that an Inter Miami player has been named to the MLS Team of the week.
