
AHL Syracuse Sends Dodero and York to Greenville

Greenville, S.C. - The Greenville Swamp Rabbits, proud ECHL affiliate of the New York Rangers and the AHL's Hartford Wolf Pack, today announced defenseman Charlie Dodero and goaltender Allen York have been loaned to the club from the Syracuse Crunch (AHL).
With the additions, Greenville's training camp roster now stands at 31 players; 17 forwards, 10 defensemen and four goaltenders.

Dodero, 23, signed a one-year AHL contract with Syracuse on September 2, where he spent 36 games last season and recorded five points (1g, 4a) and a +7 rating. His ECHL rights were previously acquired by the Swamp Rabbits in a deal with Idaho for future considerations.
A native of Bloomingdale, Illinois, Dodero debuted with Greenville during the 2013-14 campaign and collected two assists in 14 games. The third-year pro also registered 31 points (7g, 24a) in 77 games with Idaho over the last two seasons.
Prior to turning pro, Dodero played four seasons of major junior hockey in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) from 2009-13. In 248 career contests, the 6'2, 200-pound blue-liner amassed 69 points (11g, 58a) and 286 penalty minutes with the Sudbury Wolves and Kitchener Rangers.
York, 26, was also signed to a one-year AHL deal with Syracuse this past summer, where he spent eight games between the pipes last season. He also dressed 26 games with the Florida Everblades and posted a 17-5-3 record with a 2.63 goals against average, .903 save percentage and a career-high four shutouts.
A native of Wetaskiwin, Alberta, York played 11 NHL games with the Columbus Blue Jackets during the 2011-12 season, going 3-2-0 with a 2.30 goals against average and a .919 save percentage. He made his NHL debut on October 25, 2011 against Detroit and earned his first victory on March 28, 2012 against the Red Wings.
In addition, York boasts 48 games of AHL experience on his resume including time with Charlotte, Texas, Rockford, Springfield and Syracuse. The 6'4, 170-pound netminder owns a 23-15-4 record, 2.66 goals against average, .905 save percentage and three shutouts in those games. He has also taken the net in 62 ECHL contests with Chicago, Evansville, South Carolina and Florida.
York was selected in the sixth round (158th overall) by Columbus in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.
