
Cyclones Receive Eight from AHL Camps

CINCINNATI, OH- The Cincinnati Cyclones have added eight players who recently participated in American Hockey League (AHL) camps to their roster.
Players added include defensemen Mike Ratchuk, Jaynen Rissling, and Mikko Vainonen, goaltender Brandon Whitney, and forwards Zach Budish, Jack Downing, Eric Robinson, and Andrew Yogan.
Rissling and Vainonen were assigned from the Milwaukee Admirals by the Nashville Predators- Cincinnati's National Hockey League (NHL) affiliate. Rissling skated in 37 games with the Cyclones last season, accounting for a goal and two assists. He also appeared in five contests with the Admirals, but did not register a point. Vainonen spent the bulk of last season with the Cyclones, dishing out five assists in 31 games played. He is a 2012 fourth round draft pick of the Predators.
Both Robinson and Whitney were assigned to the Cyclones from the Admirals as well. Robinson appeared in 10 games with the Admirals a season ago, while Whitney saw action in five games with the ECHL's Wheeling Nailers, and one contest with the Hamilton Bulldogs.
Budish, Downing, Ratchuk, and Yogan were all assigned to the Cyclones following AHL tryouts. Budish, Ratchuk and Yogan attended Admirals camp, while Downing was an invitee of the Lake Erie Monsters. Budish, Downing, and Yogan spent time with the Cyclones last season, with Budish accounting for 23 points (8g, 15a) in 30 games, and Downing amassing 15 points (10g, 5a) in 16 contests. Yogan appeared in four games with Cincinnati, totaling a pair of goals and five assists, before being called up by the San Antonio Rampage. Ratchuk spent 2014-2015 in a Nailers uniform, amassing 11 points (2g, 9a) in 28 games.
