MOLINE, Ill. (October 6, 2015) - The Quad City Mallards have released forward Mason Bohlinger and defenseman Mike Baird from tryout agreements and placed forward Jeff Vanderlugt on the team's suspended list, the Mallards announced today.
The Mallards' training camp roster is now composed of 21 players: 12 forwards, seven defensemen and two goaltenders. Vanderlugt was unable to take part in camp due to injury.
Training camp continues tomorrow at the River's Edge in Davenport. The Mallards will skate at the River's Edge from 9:00 to 10:45 a.m. tomorrow through Saturday before traveling to Indianapolis for a preseason game against the Indy Fuel Sunday.
The Mallards will begin their nineteenth season on the road against the defending champion Allen Americans on Friday, October 16 before returning to the Quad Cities to play their home opener on Friday, October 23 at 7:05 p.m. against the Tulsa Oilers.
