Abbotsford hosted Manitoba for a two-game set in the AHL's only action on the week thus far... On Monday, 2009 first-round draft pick Jordan Schroeder tallied the game-winning goal and an assist as the Moose collected a 5-2 victory... In Tuesday's rematch, David Van der Gulik's third-period goal snapped a 1-1 tie and lifted the Heat to a 2-1 win.

LOOKING AHEAD:
Rochester makes its first visit to Grand Rapids since Nov. 14 on Wednesday needing a victory to clinch its first Calder Cup Playoff berth since 2007... The teams have split four meetings to date and will wrap up their season series on Apr. 7 at Van Andel Arena... Rochester is 2-4-0-1 in its last seven games overall but has won six of its last eight road contests (6-2-0-0)... Clay Wilson has a point in nine of his last 10 games (3-11-14) for the Amerks and leads all AHL defensemen with 60 points (14-46-60) in 72 games for the season... Rochester's Michal Repik is riding a three-game scoring streak (1-5-6), while leading scorer Jamie Johnson (24-42-66) shows 2-3-5 vs. the Griffins this season... Grand Rapids has earned points in nine of its last 10 games (6-1-1-2) to pull within seven points of a playoff spot in the North Division race... Jeremy Williams (2-2-4) and Mattias Ritola (1-3-4) both show three-game scoring streaks for the Griffins, and Jamie Tardif has put up three goals and an assist in his last two outings... Jan Mursak has netted a goal in two straight contests on the heels of a 12-game goal-scoring drought.
Manchester brings its four-game winning streak to Lowell on Wednesday for its final regular-season clash with the Devils... The Monarchs' current win streak - their longest since a four-game run from Dec. 4-11 - began with 2-1 triumph over Lowell on Mar. 24... Manchester defenseman Alec Martinez has notched seven points (1-6-7) in his last three contests and has found the scoresheet in six of his last seven outings (2-10-12)... Oscar Moller boasts a six-game scoring streak (3-6-9) for the Monarchs, and Justin Azevedo shows a point in four straight games (3-1-4)... Monarchs rookie Andrei Loktionov returned from injury last weekend with three points (2-1-3) in three games... Lowell, which is concluding a seven-game homestand, is tied with Bridgeport for fourth place in the Atlantic race... Lowell's Ben Walter has racked up 11 points (4-7-11) in nine games vs. Manchester on the season, and Tim Sestito shows five goals and eight points in the season series... The Devils (20.9 percent, 3rd) and Monarchs (19.5 percent, 6th) have two of the AHL's top six power play units this season.
Lake Erie visits Peoria on Thursday night in a battle between two teams trying to get into a playoff position in their respective divisions... The Monsters are six points back of the last spot in the North, while the Rivermen posted a 9-4-1-0 mark in the month of March to close within three points of Milwaukee for the West's final entry... Cam Paddock has registered four goals (4-1-5) in his last three games for the Rivermen after totaling four goals in his previous 45 contests... Adam Cracknell shows four goals in his last four outings, and Peoria rookie Lars Eller is coming off his fifth three-point effort (1-2-3) of the season on Sunday vs. Houston... Lake Erie has remained in playoff contention despite winning just twice in its last 11 games (2-6-1-2)... Rookie Ryan Stoa has compiled nine points (5-4-9) in his last seven games for the Monsters, and captain Brian Willsie shows 4-4-7 in his last seven outings... The Monsters have tallied 86 goals in the second period this season, compared to 61 in the first period and 65 in the third frame... The teams will meet again on Saturday night in Peoria.

In Tuesday's action, 2010 AHL All-Star Jonathan Bernier earned his first career NHL shutout with 34 saves in Los Angeles' 2-0 win at Nashville... 2008 AHL All-Star Tuukka Rask posted a 21-save shutout to help Boston past New Jersey, 1-0... 2008 Calder Cup champion Ondrej Pavelec made 27 saves as Atlanta kept pace in the Eastern Conference playoff race with a 3-2 win at Toronto; Viktor Stalberg, who has 33 points in 39 games for the AHL Marlies, scored twice for the Maple Leafs.
BY THE NUMBERS:
1 -- Victory needed by Hershey in its last seven games to tie the AHL-record 57 regular-season wins, currently held by the 1992-93 Binghamton Rangers... The Bears (56-14-0-3) take their first crack on Wednesday at Syracuse.
