
AHL announces suspension

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. ... The American Hockey League today announced that Iowa Stars defenseman Matt Nickerson has been suspended for one (1) regular-season games as a result of his actions during an AHL game vs. the Chicago Wolves on Dec. 12.
Nickerson was assessed an instigator penalty within the final five minutes of the third period, resulting in an automatic one-game suspension under AHL Rule 47.21.
Nickerson will miss Iowa's game on Friday, Dec. 15, at Peoria.
