Admirals Receive Bochenski and St. Pierre from Chicago

CHICAGO, Illinois - Blackhawks General Manager Dale Tallon announced today that Chicago has re-assigned right wing Brandon Bochenski and center Martin St. Pierre to the Admirals. Both had been recalled to Chicago on November 27 and appeared in seven games for the Blackhawks.

Bochenski, 24, is a 6'0", 193 lb. right wing from Blaine, Minnesota. He tallied one goal and two penalty minutes during his recall to the Blackhawks.

Bochenski has appeared in 19 games for the Admirals this season and leads the club with 18 goals and is tied for the team lead with 32 points. He also has 14 assists and 17 penalty minutes.

Bochenski signed a one-year deal with Chicago on August 1. He was originally acquired by the Blackhawks from the Ottawa Senators along with a 2006 second round draft pick for Tyler Arnason on March 9, 2006. Following the trade, Bochenski appeared in 20 games for the Blackhawks, tallying two goals and two assists for four points and eight penalty minutes. He then appeared in three Calder Cup Playoff games for the Admirals, registering one goal and one assist for two points and no penalty minutes.

In 48 career NHL games, Bochenski has nine goals and nine assists for 17 points and 24 penalty minutes. He was originally drafted by the Ottawa Senators in the seventh round (223rd) of the 2001 NHL Entry Draft.

St. Pierre, 23, is a 5'9", 187 lb. right wing from Embrun, Ontario. In seven games with the Blackhawks this season, he registered one assist and four penalty minutes. He picked up his first NHL point with an assist on December 5 at Minnesota.

St. Pierre has appeared in 20 games for the Admirals this season. He leads the team with 26 assists and is tied for the team lead with 32 points. St. Pierre has also netted six goals and added 18 penalty minutes.

St. Pierre established new Norfolk franchise records with points and assists in eleven straight games (four goals, 16 assists) from October 28 to November 17. Last season, St. Pierre established new franchise marks for points (73) & assists (50) in a single campaign. He was an AHL All-Star and was also named to the AHL All-Rookie Team.

St. Pierre signed a two-year contract with the Blackhawks on November 2, 2005. He has appeared in nine NHL games in his career with one assist and four penalty minutes.

The Admirals will head to Binghamton to start the second half of their six-game road trip on Friday. They play the Senators at 7:05 p.m., and then visit Springfield at 7:05 p.m. on Saturday and Bridgeport at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday.
