
AHL announces preseason schedule

SPRINGFIELD, MA ... The American Hockey League announced today its composite 2003 preseason schedule, set to begin later this week. The schedule comprises 41 games, to be played between Fri., Sept. 19 and Tue., Oct. 7.
The preseason kicks off this Friday afternoon at the Sovereign Bank Flyers SkateZone in Voorhees, N.J., with a game between a pair of new East Division rivals, the Philadelphia Phantoms and the Albany River Rats.
On Sept. 26, the Toronto Roadrunners hit the ice for the first time when they tangle with the Hamilton Bulldogs at the Ice Gardens at York University in North York, Ont.
