Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights News Release

The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights are pleased to announce the tender signing of forward Christopher Rubenach.

With the NAHL Draft looming, the Knights' front office continues their efforts to put a team in place ready for a return to the playoffs next season. Another step forward comes with the signing of Rubenach.

An 18-year-old out of Denmark, Rubenach enjoyed success in the states with the Iowa Wild AAA youth hockey team last season, where he posted 28 points in 32 games at the midget level.

"Christopher is a high-end skilled forward that makes the players around him better," said Assistant General Manager Justin Schreiber. "We love the fact that his effort is consistent regardless of the circumstances. We are excited to add a skilled forward like Christopher into the Knights organization."

Rubenach's efforts were rewarded during the 2018-19 campaign when the winger skated in two NAHL games with the Kenai River Brown Bears. His success continued after the 01? birth year was selected to represent his home country of Denmark in the U18 World Junior Championship. Rubenach skated in five games for Denmark, earning an assist and a bronze medal.
