
After Rough Road Trip, Wizards Return Home To Defeat Sioux Falls

Bismarck, ND - After finishing a five game road swing 1-4, the Dakota Wizards got back on track uponreturning home. 3,356 fans turned out to see Dakota defeat the rival Sioux Falls Skyforce 103-96 at theBismarck Civic Center.
In a game marred by sloppy play, Sioux Falls jumped out to a 30-26 lead after one quarter, thanks in partto 11 Dakota turnovers. The Skyforce led by as many as eight points during the first period. Sioux Falls,paced by Greg Stiemsma's twelve points at the break, continued its strong play in the second quarter,heading into the locker room ahead 59-52.
Wizards guard David Bell scored nine points in the third period to help cut the Skyforce lead to threeentering the final quarter. Dakota also received solid play inside from newcomer Connor Atchley, whowas making his home debut in Bismarck and was warmly received by the fans.
The fourth quarter was all Wizards, as they finally displayed the defense they were noted for enteringthe season, limiting the Skyforce to 15 points in the final period. All five Wizards starters finished withdouble digits in points. Romel Beck notched his first double-double of the season, tallying 19 points and11 rebounds.
The Wizards will be in action on Sunday afternoon against the Utah Flash at 3:00pm.
