Brooklyn Cyclones News Release
Grammy Award-winning DJ/producer AFROJACK is going to do New York the only way he knows how: Really, really big. For one night only, the jetsetting superstar will take the pure energy of his live DJ set to one of NYC's most iconic and resilient outposts, Coney Island, for a special onslaught of brash beats some of them brand-spanking-new.
The unmissable show will take place at MCU Park, the home of minor league baseball team the Brooklyn Cyclones, and a Brooklyn landmark. Nestled at the end of the famed Coney Island boardwalk, MCU boasts views of the Atlantic Ocean and Coney's signature rides, like the Parachute Jump and Wonder Wheel. The area was hit hard by Hurricane Sandy last year, but like all of New York, it came back strong. Now AFROJACK will celebrate that fighting spirit with a properly bumping BK party.
AFROJACK, born Nick van de Wall, is one of EDM's most soughtafter showmen, traveling the globe with his catalog of custom creations and secret DJ weapons. He has two Grammys one for a remix (Madonna, "Revolver") and one for a pop production (Chris Brown, "Look At Me Now") showing his incredible range and ear. His breakthrough single "Take Over Control," featuring Eva Simons, became a worldwide hitÃÂþ and he produced, cowrote and featured on the No. 1 international party anthem "Give Me Everything" with Pitbull, NeYo and Nayer, making him a multiplatinum artist. The most recent single, "As Your Friend" featuring Chris Brown, is the first track off his upcoming debut album and has already received immense radio support across the U.S. He has lots of exciting material to come leading up to the release of his album and promises to showcase new tracks for theConey Island crowd.
So let's recap: Afrojack. Brooklyn. A baseball stadium. New York fighting spirit. Fireworks. Views. New music. All in all, that's a once-in-a-lifetime night you can't miss.
