Aeros Eliminated at Oklahoma City

OKLAHOMA CITY --- Josh Green scored twice, Mark Arcobello had a goal and an assist, Tyler Pitlick added a pair of assists, and the Oklahoma City Barons skated to a 5-2 win over the Houston Aeros in Game 4 of the AHL's Western Conference Quarterfinals Tuesday at Cox Convention Center. The Barons eliminated the Aeros from the 2012 Calder Cup Playoffs three-games-to-one with the win.

Nate Prosser and Kris Foucault scored Houston's goals, and goaltender Mike Brodeur made xx saves. Yann Danis stopped xx Houston shots to seal the series.

Arcobello staked OKC to a 1-0 lead 6:13 into the first period, but Prosser responded with 1:51 left in the opening stanza to knot the game at 1-1. It was the first playoff goal for both players.

Green gave the Barons a 2-1 lead 45 seconds into the middle period, but Foucault answered less than four minutes later to make a 2-2 game. Dylan Yeo scored the eventual game-winner with 8:51 gone by in the second period.

Phillippe Cornet added a goal at the 8:28 mark of the third period, and Josh Green tacked on an empty-netter with 1:30 left in the game.

Houston is now 10-8 in Game 4 AHL playoff action... The Aeros are 9-8 in games when they face elimination... Minnesota Wild Head Coach Mike Yeo was in attendance.
