SPRINGDALE - Curtis Haywood of the Arkansas Aeros was a key contributor to the West's 138-126 victory Sunday in the ABA All-Star Game in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Haywood, a major cog to the Aeros 20-2 season thus far, was a starter in the contest and ended the game with 13 points on 5 of 10 shooting from the field, including 3 of 8 from three-point range. The 6-7 swingman who played his college basketball at Oklahoma City University also had four assists and four steals in 32 minutes of work for the West.
The West was coached by Bob Hoffman of the Arkansas Aeros, who return to action at 7:05 p.m. Friday at the All-Star Sports Arena against the 12-7 Arkansas RiverCatz.
Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams.
