Adrian Forbes Joins Texoma FC from Premier League Side Luton Town FC

SHERMAN, Texas - Texoma FC today announced the hiring of Adrian Forbes as the Inaugural Sporting Director for the club. Adrian joins Texoma FC from English Premier League side Luton Town FC, where he was the Head of Coaching and Player Development.
"After five fantastic years working for Luton Town FC, it was always going to take something special to prize me away from Luton. Over the course of time, I have been able to get to know the vision and dream behind Texoma FC provided by the club's leadership, Simon Keizer and Ben Watson. It is truly an honor to be able to be accepted in the build out and development of this club here in Texoma in what is such an exciting time for the game" said Forbes.
Forbes is an English former professional footballer that not only has a prestigious coaching background, but also an illustrious playing career highlighted with time at: Norwich City, Luton Town, Swansea City, Blackpool, Millwall, Grimsby Town, and Lowestoft Town. He also made two international appearances for the English U18 National Team.
Forbes adds, "Football, 'Soccer', is growing rapidly in the U.S. and I hope to be able to add some of my knowledge and experience to make a positive impact in the club and the community. As sport in general grows, the U.S. is on the verge of exponential growth for the sport of soccer with the 2026 FIFA World Cup arriving shortly after Texoma FC kicks off. I see the United Soccer League growing alongside this and believe the Texoma community will unite and rally behind a club with a purpose for community."
Club President, Ben Watson, said, "Today is truly one of the biggest days for Texoma FC as we bring in our Sporting Director for the club. Adrian resembles everything we have been interviewing for in this role the last eight months from the technical knowledge of the game, to the way he articulates his passion for youth to pro development. We could not be more thrilled to be welcoming Adrian into the Texoma community."
Club CEO, Simon Keizer, said, "Adrian's passion for people, community, development, resume of playing and coaching, as well as his ability to enhance the players and families he equips, exemplifies the heartbeat of all we aspire to build here with Texoma FC. He brings with him a heart to give-back to the community that we are humbled to have included in our Sporting Director."
Forbes added, "I hope to play a supporting role in creating a legacy. A legacy that impacts not only on football, but also on the local community. Texoma FC will be that legacy."
The Texoma community can expect to see Adrian and his family arriving the first week of June to start his role within the club. His immediate plans are to begin to help the development of the youth academy and early scouting for the 2025 USL League one roster.
