Admirals Set Hockey Fights Cancer Night Promotions

Milwaukee, WI - Milwaukee Admirals President Jon Greenberg announced today that the team will host their first Hockey Fights Cancer Night, benefitting the MACC Fund, when the team hosts the Rockford IceHogs on Saturday, November 24 at 6 pm at Panther Arena.

The game will feature a moving pre-game ceremony where the players and coaches from both teams and the referees will line up on the ice and display their "I Fight For..." signs that show the name(s) of people their lives who have been effected by cancer.

In addition, all fans who come to the game will receive one of the "I Fight For..." signs and they are encouraged to fill them out and hold them up along with the players, coaches and referees. Fans can click here to download their own sign ahead of time.

The Admirals will also honor long-time MACC Fund Executive Director John Cary for his 30-plus years of service to the organization as the Traction Factory #MILhockey Role Model.

The team will have a number of special opportunities to help raise money for the MACC Fund. These include:

- During warm-ups Admirals players will use lavender tape on their sticks and then those sticks will be signed by the player and available for purchase via online action at http://admirals.gesture.com.

- For each ticket purchased through this link: https://fevo.me/2PfmS11 the team will donated $4.

- Special lavender pucks that feature the Admirals and Hockey Fights Cancer logos. These pucks will be autographed by an Ads player and available for purchase for $20 each via a grab bag at Fan Services, which is located on the concourse outside section 228..

- Newly designed lavender shirts with the team's logo on it available for sale in the Arena Team Store for $25 and $5 from each shirt sold will benefit the MACC Fund.

About the MACC Fund

The MACC Fund was founded in 1976 by Milwaukee Bucks legend Jon McGlocklin and famous Bucks announcer Eddie Doucette. The MACC Fund supports research for childhood cancer and blood disorders at the Medical College of WI, Children's Hospital of WI, the UW Carbone Cancer Center, and most recently the Marshfield Clinic! To date, the MACC Fund has CONTRIBUTED, not raised but CONTRIBUTED over $63.5 million dollars to research!! MACC Fund supported research has helped push overall cure rates from 20% in 1976 to roughly 84% today.....however the battle is far from over. The MACC Fund's mission is to find a CURE for childhood cancer and blood disorders once and for all, and won't rest until we achieve a 100% quality of life survival rate!
