
Admirals Power Play Sinks Rivermen 5-2

The power plays shone on Sunday as six of the game's seven goals came with the man advantage in a 5-2 Milwaukee Admirals win over the Peoria Rivermen at the Bradley Center.
Josh Langfeld opened the scoring with a power play goal at 11:42, tipping home a cross-ice feed from Cal O'Reilly to give the Admirals a 1-0 lead after one period of play.
Mike Glumac tallied a power play goal to make it 1-1 when he tipped home a Jean-Guy Trudel feed between the legs of Pekka Rinne at 9:24.
Mike Santorelli put the Admirals ahead once more at 12:59 while up a man, followed by Langfeld's second of the game during a five-on-three situation at 19:05 from O'Reilly and Santorelli.
After Antti Pihlstrom moved the Admirals ahead on another man advantage marker at 4:23 of the third period, the Rivermen pulled Marek Schwarz with four-and-a-half minutes to go, eventually marking during a six-on-three power play at 17:02 when Trent Whitfield beat Rinne low along the ice to make it 4-2.
With Schwarz out once again after the following faceoff, O'Reilly was able to ice the game with an empty net shorthanded goal at 18:06.
Milwaukee went 4-for-7 on the power play in the game while Peoria finished 2-for-7.
The Rivermen will get back to action on Friday night at 7 pm when the Lake Erie Monsters come to town to finish the season series which Peoria leads 3-0.
