Admirals' Online Jersey Auction Returns Friday, June 9

NORFOLK, VA - The Admirals are pleased to announce the return of the Norfolk Admirals Online Jersey Auction to norfolkadmirals.com. The auction allows fans to bid on jerseys worn by their favorite Admirals during the 2005-2006 campaign. The weekly auctions begin Friday, June 9 and will last through mid-September.

Each week, one home jersey (white) and one road jersey (red) will be up for auction. A total of 30 game-worn sweaters will be available, including those of fan favorites such as Mark Cullen, Quintin Laing, Martin St. Pierre and Shawn Thornton. Fans will also have the chance to bid on the jerseys of several top NHL prospects, including Michael Blunden, Dustin Byfuglien and Corey Crawford.

The auctions begin on June 9th. Each jersey will be up for bids for one week with a different home (white) and road (red) jersey posted each Friday. Those interested in participating can register any time on or after June 9 through the Admirals' website by visiting http://www.norfolkadmirals.com/auction.htm and clicking "Proceed to auction" at the bottom of the page. Full details on the registration and bidding process can be found on the website. Accepted forms of payment are VISA, MasterCard, checks, money orders or cash (if paid in person at the Admirals' office).
