The rebound came back to the top of the left circle where Jay Rosehill sent a slap shot top-shelf, glove-side for his first goal of the season at 9:32.

The Admirals doubled their lead with a highlight-reel goal midway through the second stanza. Adam Henrich entered the attacking zone along the left wing with a Penguins defender draped over his back. He kept possession of the puck through the left circle and near the goal line before dropping a pass back to Junior Lessard between the circles. Lessard send a backhand shot top-shelf over Brown's right arm at 9:56.

Norfolk sealed their victory with two late-third period goals. Karl Stewart scored off the rebound of his own shot from the right circle at 15:05. Radek Smolenak accepted a feed from Junior Lessard at the left hashmark and beat Brown's glove at 16:17. The Norfolk penalty kill stopped two third period Wilkes-Barre/Scranton power plays and Boutin made 11 third-period saves to earn the victory.

Boutin ended with 24 saves for his first shutout of the season. David Brown (29 shots, 25 saves) got the win.

Norfolk was 0-2 on the power play. Wilkes-Barre/Scranton was 0-4.
