Adirondack Trail Blazers News Release
The 2014 college season has started and some of your 2014 Trail Blazers have gotten off to a super start.
Rutgers University outfielder Mike Carter started the season on fire. Carter had a 4 game hitting streak as he singled in each game of a 4 game series against Florida International. He also stole a base and scored a run. He then had 4 hits in a DH sweep of Jacksonville
LaSalle University junior Justin Korenblatt got going quikly on the Explorers season opening trip down south. Korenblatt had a base hit in 3 consecutive games against Campbell University. He also walked and added a run.
Luke Lorah (Florida Tech) threw 4 scoreless innings in his first collegiate start against Southeastern. He gave up 4 hits, no walks and struck out 3. He followed that performance with 4 innings of relief, giving up 1 run on 3 hits, 1 walk and 4 strikeouts against Limestone.
Kyle Coronel (Binghamton University) made his first start of the year count with a pair of hits including a double, 2 RBI's and 2 runs scored against James Madison.
The Adirondack Trail Blazers are a member of the ten team Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League. The PGCBL is affiliated with Perfect Game USA, the largest independent scouting service in the country.
Last year the PGCL had more 112 alumni playing professional baseball.
