The Adirondack Trail Blazers (16-23) beat the Newark Pilots (15-25) 5-2 in seven innings on Tuesday at Robert Smith Sports Complex behind Brett Connors, who went 1-1.
He doubled in the second inning. Will Jahn's eight strikeouts were enough to push the Adirondack Trail Blazers past the Newark Pilots. Jahn allowed one earned run, six hits and no walks over seven innings.
Mark Martin paced the Newark Pilots at the plate. Martin went 2-3, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the fifth inning and doubled in the seventh inning.
Daniel Imbro ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just four innings, walked one, struck out five, and allowed three runs.
