BOISE, Idaho –The Idaho Steelheads scored three times in three minutes early in the second period to break open a scoreless game and roll to a 4-1 victory in front of 3,706 Saturday night in Game Two of the Pacific Division Finals.

The best-of-five series, now tied at one game apiece, continues Tuesday and Wednesday night in Anchorage's Sullivan Arena at 7:00 p.m. ADT. A live, game-worn jersey auction will be held immediately after Tuesday night's Game Three.

After a scoreless first period, in which Idaho outshot Alaska 13-6, the Steelheads took charge in the second, beginning with a friendly bounce of the glass on a clearing attempt by the Aces that landed on the stick of Lance Galbraith, who fed Andrei Vasilyev for the game's first goal at 2:31. 56 seconds later, Dylan Gyori banged home a rebound with Idaho on a power play for a 2-0 lead, which was extended to three goals when Darrell Hay's shot from the point sailed past screened Alaska starter Dan Murphy at 5:31.

David Bararuk pushed the margin to 4-0 just 1:39 into the final period, and the Aces, who mustered just 11 shots on goal through two periods, were finished. Mike Scott, playing his third playoff game in three nights (the other two had been for Providence in the AHL), denied Steelheads goalie Dan Ellis his third shutout of the postseason when he scored on a breakaway with 2:21 left in the game. Scott had not suited up for Alaska since January 24. He had four goals and four assists in 32 games for the Bruins after racking up 41 points (19g-22a) in 41 games for the Aces.

All Alaska playoff games are broadcast live on KFQD 750 AM, as well as at www.alaskaaces.com, with Jack Michaels calling the play-by-play. Coverage begins 20 minutes prior to the opening face-off, presented by GCI.
