Brooklyn Aces News Release

Thursday night at the Aviator Arena in Brooklyn, NY the first-place Brooklyn Aces cut their magic number to 4.5 games with a convincing win over the Hudson Valley Bears 8-1. Brooklyn's top ranked offense fired on all cylinders in the first period, sparked by the return of Mike Christensen, who had missed more than three weeks due to injury. Christensen scored the game's first goal after taking a pass from line-mate Tony Resendes and putting it past Bears goalie Chris Polino. Mike then added his 25th of the season just 21 seconds later to give Brooklyn an early 2-0 lead. The Aces poured it on, as Eric Frank scored on the power play and CJ Tozzo scored his first of three goals on the night midway through the first period. Tozzo's efforts resulted in his second hat trick of the season, and his game scored streak extending to a league best 23 games.

Kyle McCullough scored his 22nd and 23rd goals of the season, taking two assists from Tozzo to round out the team's offensive display on Thursday night. All tolled 10 Aces players tallied points on the night, led by Tozzo and McCullough who each had 5 points.

The Aces return home on March 13 to face the Jersey Rockhoppers at the Aviator Arena at 7:30pm. For more information or to order tickets call the Aces Ticket Office at 718-758-7585 or visit www.BrooklynAces.com.
