Alaska Aces News Release
ANCHORAGE, Alaska â The Anchorage Aces have hired Pete Armstrong as the club's Vice President of sales and marketing, effective immediately.
Armstrong, 45, joins the Aces after a successful 12-year run at a large local media group in Anchorage, where he completed his tenure as the Director of Sales. Prior to beginning his sales career, Armstrong had been a First Officer in the Merchant Marines with a shipmaster's license and a member of special forces in the Green Beret division. Born and raised in southern England, Armstrong arrived in Anchorage in 1989, when he married his wife of 14 years, Lisa, who hails from Alaska. Pete and Lisa reside in Anchorage with their nine-year-old daughter Sydney-Jane and their two Australian sheepdogs.
Brendan Desjardin will be retained as the team's Director of Tickets, a position that he has occupied since November, while longtime mainstay Colby Coward will be assuming the title of Director of Corporate Partnerships. Stacey Miller has been added as an Account Executive, one of three hires at that position the club is expected to make over the next couple of weeks. She moved to Anchorage at the age of six and attended Augsburg College in Minneapolis, graduating in 2002 with a degree in business management.
