Aces Ballpark Open House Set for March 8

Reno, Nev.- The Reno Aces Baseball Club will host an Open House at Aces Ballpark in correlation with single-game tickets going on sale on March 8, the team announced today.

The free event will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Fans that come to the ballpark will get a chance to take some swings in the Aces batting cages, announce themselves as a batter over the P.A. system, and bounce in some inflatables on the front lawn of the ballpark.

The event will also feature tours of the Aces' clubhouse, the press box and control room, and a chance to take your picture on the field.

At 11 a.m., three-time Pacific Coast League Turf Manager of the Year Eric Blanton will conduct three short presentations about the different facets of getting the field ready for baseball. At noon, the Aces will present a special unveiling of the first baseballs stored in Aces Ballpark's newest feature, its humidor.

In addition, the Biggest Little Team Shop in the World will feature new team apparel, as well as numerous items on sale for anywhere from 20-75 percent off. Hot dogs will also be available for 50 cents each.

For the single-game tickets on-sale, fans will be able to buy tickets in person, online or over the phone at 10 a.m. Fans that buy tickets at the ballpark will receive a complimentary ticket to the April 1 exhibition game against the University of Nevada, as well as a surprise item of Aces merchandise.

All fans that purchase a ticket on March 8 will be entered into a drawing for an autographed baseball signed by the 2013 Aces.

The Aces kick off the 2014 season at home on April 3 by hosting the El Paso Chihuahuas, the newest Pacific Coast League franchise.
