Imbeault, 26, is back in Alaska for his second tour with the Aces after totaling 95 points (38g, 57a) in 108 games in his first stint. In his sophomore professional season in 2008-09, Imbeault was a 20-goal scorer with Alaska. He helped lead them to the Kelly Cup Finals that year, finishing as the league's sixth highest scorer in the 2009 postseason. He had 48 points (18g, 30a) the following season in 44 games before departing to play professionally in the Czech Republic. He returned to the ECHL in the 2010-11 campaign with the Florida Everblades and posted career numbers. Imbeault finished fourth in the ECHL with a career-best 36 goals in just 57 games. That year he earned his third different call-up to the American Hockey League. His first AHL stint came as a rookie in 2007-08 when he spent 12 games with the Providence Bruins who were coached by Murray. He had three goals and three assists in 12 AHL games under Murray, who served as an assistant that season. He has been a point per game producer in his ECHL career, with a combined 222 points (100g, 122a) in 225 games. He's added 28 points (11g, 17a) in 28 playoff games. He had two assists in four games this season with Orlando prior to his return to Alaska.
The Aces complete their home stand this weekend with their first ever series with the expansion San Francisco Bulls. The games begin Friday and Saturday at 7:15pm and Sunday at 3:05pm.
