Aberdeen, SD - A pair of powerplay goals helped propel the Aberdeen Wings to their 15th straight win over the St. Cloud Norsemen on Friday night.

The Norsemen and the Wings exchanged shots through a large portion of the opening frame before a 5-on-3 powerplay resulted in Clayton Cosentino breaking the deadlock to give Aberdeen the 1-0 lead.

Aberdeen wasted little time growing its lead in the second period as Natan Vertes scored for the 2-0 advantage. Nico Devita extended the lead to 3-0 with a powerplay goal before the Wings grew the advantage to 4-0 with a Cade Neilson tally.

Early in the third, Spencer Schneider capped off the victory with a goal to secure the 5-0 advantage for Aberdeen

With the loss, the Norsemen are 2-7-0 and will focus their attention to Saturday's matchup with the division-leading Aberdeen Wings.

Mark Shelley will provide the play-by-play of the game on the Lyon Sheet Metal & Heating Norsemen Network beginning at 7:10 PM CT.
