Weekend Recap
Your Aberdeen Wings split this last weekends series with their rivals the Bismarck Bobcats. Friday night the Wings closed out the month of November on a high note taking down the Bobcats 3-1! Jake Horton got the scoring started for the Wings on the power play with the assists going to Justin Parizek and Stephen Johnson. Bismarck was able to tie things up at the half way point of the 2nd period, but this Wings owned the 3rd getting a goal from Peter Krieger assisted by Joe Sullivan and then one of the newest members of the Wings got on the score card, Jonathan Grebosky sealed the deal with an empty netter with under a minute left in the game. Assists went to Jake Horton and Heinz Koster. Saturday night the Wings jumped out fast netting a goal less then 2 minutes into the game off the stick of Justin Parizek, assisting Parizek was Mike Parnell and JD Cotroneo. After that Bismarck went on a tear scoring the games next 4 goals to take a 4-1 lead throughout the 2nd period. The Wings started their comeback in the 3rd with a goal from Jake Horton With assists going to Zach Kraft and Erik Baskin. Zach then scored a goal of his own to get the game to within 1 with assists going to Kyle Haak and Erik Baskin once again. After another Bismarck goal Peter Krieger made things interesting down the stretch with the assists going to JD Controneo and Justin Parizek. Marcus Zelzer was in goal for both games and made 54 saves on 60 shots over the weekend.

The Pete Sauer Coach's Show will be this Monday and every Monday throughout the season live from Max & Erma's. If you are unable to make it into Max & Erma's you can tune into 107.7 or click on the radio link (Headphones on the bottom right side of the page) @ aberdeenwings.com . Player guests this week will be Jake Horton and Peter Krieger. Sign up for Winger's Kids Club at home games throughout the season! Open to all kids ages 3-12. For $40 they get into 10 home games, a free Wingers Kids Club T-Shirt, 5 visits to the sundae bar at Max & Erma's and 2 Monday parties during the coaches show. Tonight Nov. 26th will be the first Winger's Kid's Club Parties! Bring the kids to Max & Erma's during the Pete Sauer Coaches Show and meet Winger and players! If you haven't signed up yet you can do so tonight! The Wings will also be participating in floor hockey this Tuesday evening at the YMCA. This Wednesday members of the team with be helping out the Salvation Army by ringing the bell at Walmart here in Aberdeen, They will also be going into the classroom and reading to kids.
Upcoming Games
This weekend the Wings 8-14-1 travel down to instate rival Brookings Blizzard 13-10-0 this Friday night. The Wings will look to record their first win of the season over the Blizzard. Saturday night the Wings will be back home to take on the Minot Minotauros. Pregame tickets are available at the Wolf Stop and all 3 C-Express locations or you can get them at the door. Happy hour starts when the doors open at 5:30, and as always the puck drops at 7:15!
