Abbott to host Fan Talk today

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC South Carolina Stingrays play-by-play voice Darren Abbott will host "Bobby Hartin's Fan Talk" this afternoon from 3:00 to 6:00PM. Bobby Hartin, the show's regular host is on vacation. The show will air live from the Kirkman Broadcasting studios on AM 1340 WQSC. Today's show is scheduled to cover all topics in the world of sports and will feature a chat with Stingrays' Head Coach Jason Fitzsimmons from his home in Saskatchewan.

"This will be a good opportunity for our fans to tune in and hear the latest off-season news," commented Abbott. "It is a very important time of year for ECHL coaches as every team attempts to fill its roster for the upcoming season."

Stingray fans are invited to call in with their questions and comments at 721-9500.

The Stingrays will drop the puck against the Charlotte Checkers on October 23rd to open their home schedule. The Rays have teamed up with the South Carolina Education Lottery to give three lucky fans in attendance on opening night 1,000 chances at winning a minimum of 10 million dollars. Fans that purchase season ticket packages for as little as $55.50 will be given even more chances to win.
