Abbotsford Heat to Face UBC Thunderbirds in Exhibition Game

Abbotsford, BC - The Abbotsford Heat is pleased to announce their prospects will be taking on the University of British Columbia Thunderbird's hockey team. The game will be brought to you by the Surrey Eagles at South Surrey Arena on Sunday, September 25th with doors opening at 5:00pm and puck drop at 6:05pm.

Net proceeds will benefit the Semiahmoo Minor Hockey Association. Heat Head Coach Troy Ward is looking forward to the event saying "this exhibition game is an excellent example of four levels in the hockey community, from amateur to professional, working together".

Tickets are available in two forms for purchase. Fans may choose a combo pack that includes a seat for the Heat vs UBC game plus a ticket to the Surrey Eagles Home Opener on Friday, September 23rd at a value of $20.00. A single ticket for the exhibition game can be purchased for $7.00 including all taxes and facility fees.

Post-game there will be a 30 minute skate with players from each team for members of the Semiahmoo Minor Hockey Association along with a chance to meet coaches and players off-ice.
