Abbotsford, BC - The Abbotsford Heat announced today that Luke Strand has been named Assistant Coach with the Abbotsford Heat.

"I had the opportunity to work alongside Luke for two seasons in Houston and I am happy we are getting the chance to coach together again. He is an amazing teacher and will be a tremendous help in developing our young players," said Heat Head Coach Troy Ward. "With the addition of Luke, Cail MacLean and Jordan Sigalet, we are excited about the staff we have put together here in Abbotsford and are looking forward to the start of the camp."
