ABA Summer Pro League Heating Up

Maywood, CA - The Southern California Weather isn't the only thing that is hot right now. The players at the 2007 ABA Summer Pro League are turning up the heat. "I have seen some great play and it is just the third day" stated Buzz GM Burrel Lee III. "Many of these player really deserve a shot to play in the ABA, I wish I can carry them all. But I can't carry them all" Lee added.
Let's recap Day 3
Game #1 Maywood Buzz vs Cobb Sports
The 11am started off 30 minutes late due to some miscues, but once it got started it was on. 6'9 F Ronel Mingo (Cobb Sports) started the game with 6 quick points and then the fun started. It was a back and fouth game the entire game til the 6'3 G George Statsoulis (19pts & 3rebs) and 6'1 G Darwin Carter (19pts & 3rebs), (both Maywood Buzz) got HOT and torched the nets from the 3pt line. They matched each other stroke for stroke, but Cobb Sports 6'2 G Andre Jones (17pts & 4rebs) & 6'1 Mike Garrett (16pts & 4ast) wasn't going to be out down. Both kept Cobb Sports in the game as it went down to the wire. And the Buzz came out on top 80-77.
Game 2 Game 2 pitted HoopLove vs Japan GymRats. The GymRats jumped out to a 9pt early lead, but when the first quarter ended HoopLove was up 15pts. HoopLove put on a press and never let up. HoopLove was lead by 6'4 G Cecil Brown (40pts, 5rebs & 4stls) and was also the ABA SPL Player of the Day. 6'3 G Jamar Cramer (11pts & 7rebs) help set the tone for the undefeated HoopLove squad. The GymRats who look to get back in the win column tomorrow vs 0-3 Cobb sports was lead by 5'8 G Kohei Aoki (29pts & 5ast) & 6'2 G Kenji Kurasawa (16pts & 2rebs). HoopLove won 86-65.
Game 3 This was the best game of the day and was Hoop Stars vs Team PitBull. We are just going to fast forward to the last 44.6 seconds of the game. With the ball and down 3pts Team PitBull misses a shot, then gets a steal...3D is on, Team PitBull 6'3 G Cheo White (31pts & 5rebs) hits a 3pt worth 4 and gives his team a 1pt lead. Then Hoop Stars give the ball right back, only to see Team PitBull to take a quick shot and give it right back. Hoop Stars 6'1 G Terrell Hendricks (16pts & 3rebs) gets fouled hits 2 free throws, and then 6'0 G Kenny Wright (15pts & 2stls) hits 2 of his own to give Hoop Stars the 3pt lead and the win.....NOT YET! 11.2 seconds remaining Cheo White finds teammate 6'4 G Kevin Fletcher (13pts) who hits the 3 to tie the game and is fouled. Completes the 4pt play and wins the game for PitBull 66-65
The ABA Summer League is just that HOT!!! And best believe HOTTER!
