A Really Pig Deal of a Homestand for Saints from July 26-31
July 25, 2022 - International League (IL)
St. Paul Saints News Release
ST. PAUL, MN - The All-Star break is behind us and that means it's time for a little change. Some things might not look the same as they did before the break. We've taken some time off and now it's your turn to skip out on work. We care about our fans, but sometimes zero lucks for our entertainment. Our promotions never suck, but they might just blow. It's time to enjoy some rip-roaring fun during the July 26-31 homestand.
Tuesday, July 26 vs. Iowa Cubs (Chicago Cubs), 7:07 p.m. - This Promotion Is A Real Pig Deal
Remember Soap Operas. Those long-running TV shows that provided melodrama, absurd moments, and more twists and turns than your average roller coaster. You were engaged and enthralled by those ensemble casts. Inevitably someone from the cast would leave and their character would be played by another person. When that new person was introduced a voice over person would come on and say, "The part of Kevin will now be played by Kirk Geiger." We will have our own replacement moment. Find out during this Real Pig Deal promotion. Travel around the U.S. to see some incredible pig farms during our Sun Country Travel Tuesday.
Wednesday, July 27 vs. Iowa Cubs, 1:07 p.m. - Did you Know Minneapolis College Offers Night Classes So You Can Enjoy Today's Day Game
You have to make the most of summer in Minnesota. Before you know it, the leaves are going to start falling from the trees, the weather will turn, and you're going to have to get your jacket out of the closet. No one wants that. Skip out on work, save the chores for another time, and let the kids run around CHS Field. It's our afternoon game presented by Minneapolis College and Minnesota State. And if studying over the summer is your forte, Minneapolis College, and many of the fine institutions in the Minnesota State system, offer night classes, so you can go to baseball games during the day. Find out what you can do during the day (and night) in the state on our Explore Minnesota Wednesday.
Thursday, July 28 vs. Iowa Cubs, 7:07 p.m. - Irish Night presented by Hamline University
Who doesn't like their baseball played extra STOUT?? It's Irish Night, presented by Hamline University, as the team will be donning their special Fighting Irish jerseys and auctioning them off after the game. We can't promise you pots of gold, but perhaps the luck of the Irish will be with the Saints this night. As has become tradition, the Saints will wear special Irish jerseys as your favorite players will change their names for the night. Cheer on Matt O'Wallner, Jake McCave, and Mario O'Sanchez, as the Saints Go Green. Of course, we're putting Irish Night on a Thirsty Thursday featuring $2 beers and two-for-one Bud Light Seltzers.
Friday, July 29 vs. Iowa Cubs, 7:07 p.m. - National Intern Day with Harmonica Giveaway & Post-Game Fireworks Powered by Xcel Energy
Today is the day to recognize and celebrate the future leaders of the world on National Intern Day. These women and men enter businesses each year, not just to put something on their resume, but as a real opportunity to change the makeup of the workforce for years to come. They come in with unique and innovative ideas helping take companies to the next level. This is one of those giveaways that will blow as the first 5,000 fans in attendance will receive their very own Harmonica. Hang on to the Harmonica until the end of the night and create your own music during our Friday Night Fireworks powered by Xcel Energy.
Saturday, July 30 vs. Iowa Cubs, 7:07 p.m. - Boundary Waters Night presented by Friends of the BWCA with Can Koozie Giveaway (1,500)
The Boundary Waters encompass more than one million acres extending nearly 150 miles along the international boundary adjacent to Canada's Quetico Provincial Park and in the northern third of the Superior National Forest in northeastern Minnesota. We celebrate this beautiful piece of nature on Boundary Waters Night presented by Friends of the BWCA. The area is accessible primarily by canoe and consists of 1,100 lakes, 1,500 miles of canoe routes, attracting more than 150,000 visitors annually. To truly understand this incredible destination, you have to come experience it for yourself. When you're hanging around the Boundary Waters it's always good to stay hydrated and we want to make sure you're prepared. The first 1,500 fans in attendance will receive a Can Koozie. You know what else would look good up at the Boundary Waters? A tropical shirt on our Treasure Island Saturday.
Sunday, July 31 vs. Iowa Cubs, 2:07 p.m. - 100th Anniversary of Water Skiing presented by Cub with 2022 Saints Team Card Set Giveaway presented by SPIRE (1,500)
The year was 1922. Ralph Samuelson used a pair of boards as skis and a clothesline as a towrope on Lake Pepin in Minnesota. After figuring out the optimal position, leaning backwards with ski tips up and poking out of the water at the tip, he spent 15 years performing shows and teaching water skiing to people in the U.S. We honor Ralph and the sport of water skiing on it's 100th Anniversary presented by Cub. Water skiing became an Olympic sport in 1972 and because of its success snow skiing was added to the Winter Olympics just two years later. How about the absurd? The World Record for most water skiers towed by a single boat: 145. Looking to grab your favorite Saints baseball card before they get the call-up to the Majors? You're in luck because the first 1,500 fans in attendance will receive a Team Card Set presented by SPIRE. Following the game, kids run the bases on a Cub Family Sunday.
It's going to be a wet and wild week at CHS Field. Make your friends green with envy by coming out to a game. Make sure you're ready to make some beautiful music because July 26-31 is going to be a real pig deal.
Saints tickets continue to be a tremendous value. Tickets begin at $5 for the Treasure Island berm seating, $6 for bleacher seats, $15 for outfield reserved, $18 for the drink rail, infield reserved and home plate reserved. Friday home games with Post-Game Fireworks are an additional $2 per ticket. Post-Game Fireworks Supershows (September 11) are an additional $3 per ticket.
