Dear Fans,
As we are just past the half way point of the 2013-2014 season I wanted to share with you some thoughts on the end of 2013 and what 2014 will bring.
We are very pleased with the start of the season.ÃâàWhen we put this team together we knew that we would be a very good defensive team but we didn't think that we would be leading the league in goals scored.ÃâàThis has been a nice surprise, with almost half our team having double digits in points.ÃâÃÂ
Being in first place has allowed us to see multiple College, USHL and NHL scouts in our building looking at our players.ÃâàWe were able to move our leading scorer Mitch Maloney to the USHL just after Christmas and we couldn't be happier for Mitch and this great opportunity.ÃâÃÂ
In the second half I would expect to see multiple college commitments from our players as they have all been thoroughly scouted and will have their choice as to where they want to go.ÃâàAlso, our scouts have started to recruit the next crop of Fighting Falcons who we feel will be able to step in next year and take the places of the players who have moved on.
I am very pleased with the atmosphere that Mike Reed and Krystle Holleman have given to our game day entertainment.ÃâàAs I have mentioned, before we want to give our fans even more value just watching a hockey game.ÃâàWe want you to be thoroughly entertained throughout the evening.ÃâÃÂ
We are looking forward to having more groups and fans in our building in the second half as we make our push to the Robertson Cup.ÃâàThank you for your support of the Fighting Falcons, and we hope to see you at McMorran during the second half.ÃâÃÂ
