Edmonton, June 25, 2004 â The Edmonton Aviators Men (0W-5D-4L as of June 24) play their eleventh game of the season, and fifth home game, on June 28th (8:30pm MST) against the Calgary Mustangs (2W-2D-7L as of June 24) at Commonwealth Stadium.
The Mustangs are a first year franchise that formed from the Calgary franchise that folded in 2003. In 2003, the Calgary franchise finished last in the Pacific Division - second last in the A-League - with 15 points from 28 games played.
The Mustangs roster includes Conrad Chala who was among the league leaders in games played and minutes played in 2003. The Mustangs roster also includes Edmonton-born Nick Zuniga.
The Mustangs have had an impressive showing so far this season. They currently sit in fourth place in the Western Conference having beaten both Seattle and Vancouver. The Mustangs have played two more games than Edmonton and have three more points.
