A "Home Run" For Izzy

The Columbia Blowfish, USC Alumni Baseball Gamecocks and Fans Raised $5,798.70 "For Izzy's Fight" and the Landon Powell family Last night at Capital City Stadium!
Last night's exhibition game included a fundraiser to assist the former USC Gamecock Landon Powell and his family as medical bills continue to mount up after their daughter's battle with an autoimmune disease. Lizzy lost her battle last January, but her memory continues on to help raise awareness about this disease.
A silent auction of USC Baseball Alumni autographed bats, baseballs, batting helmets and other items were auctioned off during the game as well as a lucky fan had a chance to bat for the Gamecock alumni during the game in the fifth inning.
The Blowfish will continue on with the fundraiser with more silent auction items over the next three nights of home games at The Cap.
